Fangchenggang Thermal Power Plant is located in Fangchenggang city, Guangxi. The planned installed capacity is 2400MW, divided to 2 phases. Phase I is designed 2 x 600MW hypercritical coal-fired condensing steam turboset, together with high efficiency static dust extraction and desulfurizing units.   GXWEP has planned to invest 30% in the phase I project. Phase I commenced on March 18, 2005 and will be completed and put into operation by fist quarter of 2008.
